A quick summary...

Inquest was started by Tim Lyakhovetskiy and Paul Chakerian in February of 2005. Soon after, Alex Duddy joined and brought over his friend Chris Farwell to fill the second guitar spot. Since then we've been playing our own fun brand of death metal with a lot of progressive elements thrown in. Between May and October of 2005, we recorded our first album, titled Scalped Alive!!! and played our first show on October 29th to celebrate. Our primary influences are technical death metal bands like Necrophagist, Between the Buried and Me, Cephalic Carnage, etc... Along with some old-school death metal and thrash. Right now, our main goal is to get our name and our sound out there and see what people think. If you are interested in having us play at your venue, contact us!

Our History

The biography of this band is always changing. Having something static here that occasionally gets overwritten seems counter to the reality of a band, something growing and maturing. So, I'm making this something organic, something I will hopefully keep adding on to for however long this band exists.
